Burke Centre is an Amtrak Stop Amtrak's
Northeast Regional service from Lynchburg stops at Burke Centre. Previously the
station only provided connecting service for Virginia Railway Express
passengers. With this designation, passengers may now book travel to and from
Burke Centre on Amtrak.com. The Northeast Regional service between Lynchburg and the Northeast Corridor has Virginia stops in Charlottesville, Culpeper, Manassas, Burke Centre and Alexandria. The stop at L'Enfant Plaza will continue to provide connecting service for Virginia Railway Express passengers. Burke Centre's new station code is BCV in the Amtrak site. Tickets may be purchased at Amtrak.com or by calling 1-800-USA-RAIL.
![]() Burke Centre residents also enjoy easy access to public transportation with services available through the Virginia Railway Express (VRE), Amtrak at Burke Centre Station on Roberts Parkway, and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority Metrobus.
The
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) operates Metrobus and
Metrorail transit services within Fairfax County. WMATA also provides The
RideGuide and the Trip Planner to help you plan your travel using these and

Fairfax Connector’s Express Connector limited-stop bus service will provide commuters a stress-free, direct commute that is faster than ever before. Buses are expected to travel on average 55 mph on the Beltway, even during rush hour. That’s because the service will use the dedicated 495 Express Lanes. Three separate routes traveling through different parts of Tysons are designed to let riders choose the most direct trip to their office with minimal time on the bus. Nine buses will leave Burke during peak times on weekday mornings. From Tysons, there will be eleven departures to Burke during the afternoon and evening, including two at midday. FASTRAN -- It is sometimes called a para-transportation system or rider assisted transportation system, we call it Fastran. Fastran is a 'door-to-door' transportation service for people who, because of a disability or disabling health condition, are unable to use public transportation.
